A moment of Eureka

I have just finished listening to the audio CDs from Esther and Jerry Hicks
on the Law of Attraction.

For the first time, in many years, I felt a strong sense of 'eureka'.
Several personal experiences and insights from Esther, on her spiritual path, made me realise that I had exactly the same experiences too! But I didn't realise the
implications nor relevance in the same way or in the same context.

Maybe this is an insight into a possible 'same pattern' of spiritual development and progress for many of us.In any event, I cannot do full justice to the work of Esther and Jerry Hicks in my summary insights below, so I would highly recommend their work at www.abraham-hicks.com.

My path resonates with her path as follows:

1. Jerry originally played around with a weejie board that Esther was not too happy about. They talk about the major phenomena of the non physical, non visible beings.
I always sensed this dimension and I never really wanted to play with the weejie board.

2. In 1983 they talked about "There has to be another level of knowing" and this is where channeling started for Esther. I often wondered about channeling myself, but, at that stage, nothing so specific as a personality such as Seth or Abraham had appeared for me. But I also felt that there was an intelligence, a higher and creative intelligence, that wanted and was willing to communicate. They talked of the "non physical being with all this wisdom".

3. The notion of a Spiritual Guide or a Higher Self or a Guardian Angel started to rock my cautious, reasonable, even doubting self. I love the wonderful, inspiring and powerful words of Esther "Something breathed me and it was a wonderful and loving experience". This resonated because I have increasingly felt that we, the lifeforce, are the invisible layer and that we breathe apparent life in to the body. The body lives and dies according to the flow of breath, the lifeforce. We are not the body. We use the body. We are the invisible lifeforce that permeates the Universe.

When my mother passed away, I saw her body in the hospital, and I knew it was not any more my mother. The lifeforce had left. The spirit had gone or returned. The body was just matter. Yet my mother and father are still very much with me in spirit.

If we are really the lifeforce within the Universe, using physical bodies to temporarily experience and express who we really are, then that lifeforce is certainly everlasting, beyond physical laws of life and death. We are what is breathed in.

4. Esther talks of her experiences in 1985 of her head moving around in meditation. For her it was spelling out letters with her nose. In my meditations, I would reach a stage of head and body movements. A swaying backwards and forwards, sometimes quite violent and sometimes quite soft. At times, I felt like I was being bent forwards and back. At times, I felt I was being massaged.

As these were the days before blogs, I simply wrote these experiences in my hand written spiritual diaries over many years. Being trained as a Yoga teacher, I was well aware, from teachings of some of the Yoga Masters, that strange experiences could happen along the way, and I was instructed to ignore them. Esther's experiences were the first similar experiences that I had heard from a lay person. She then communicated with Abraham and she took his messages to the typewriter every day for 2 months.

In my case, over a period of weeks, I had a spiritual outpouring and I incessantly wrote the short story of 'Christopher and the Knowledger'. It's a dialogue between Christopher, a man seeking the eternal Truths of the Universe, and the Knowledger, who occupies the invisible space around Planet Earth. I didn't think of myself as the channel for the Knowledger, but maybe I was?

5.Esther says that Abraham would speak with absolute clarity. For me, it was effortless to write Christopher and the Knowledger (C&K) in 1991. Even today, in 2007, I read the story and I am simply amazed at the timeless wisdom that seems to unfold to me, piece by piece, as I read and re-read. Maybe there is a timeless wisdom that we all can access, express and share with others in our own unique and authentic way?

6. Abraham told Esther that "there are many of us (we are in no place) and we are many of identical intent. In C&K, the Knowledger tells Christopher that there are many Knowledgers who surround Planet Earth. When Christopher completed his one atom of learning and understanding in the Universal Wisdom, he became a Knowledger himself. The Knowledger said that as soon as he had helped enough people to become Knowledgers, he would become complete in the Universal Wisdom.

7. It's so interesting to hear people who have the gift of 'inspiring' others. Of being enthusiastic. I feel gifted, as I am continually told that, as a teacher, I communicate complex concepts clearly and in an inspiring and enthusiastic way. 'In-spiration' and 'Ex-piration' take us back to the breath again, as life. Maybe inspirational teachers have a temporary excess of enthusiasm and lifeforce that they need to share with others?

8. For the Law of Attraction, the most powerful law in the Universe, we are told "That which is likened to itself is drawn" and that "you are a magnet attracting what you are thinking and feeling". So we are told to "Pay attention to what we are thinking and feeling" as "words and actions are extensions of thought".

In all my Yoga teacher training and meditations, and recently, in studying the Buddha and Dharma teachings, I have been told to become 'mindful' of the present moment, the 'here and now'. I have been told to be very aware of what I am thinking and doing. I have been told to make sure that I guard my mind from negative influences and dwell, instead, only on positive thoughts and emotions. The Buddha taught the pursuit of happiness. Makes great sense to me, but this was taught 2500 years ago by the Buddha and even earlier in the Vedas, the Hindu Scriptures. Abraham says "Without exception, that which you give thought to is that which you begin to invite into your experience"."The joyful launch of creation, you will be inspired into action, you must enjoy your action"

9. "Think them into being, expect them, you will be led / guided / inspired to the 'Perfect Action'". I have found this to be true for me too. I have learned to trust inspired thoughts and insights. I find it very useful to follow the Eight Fold Path of the Buddha, which is a framework for Perfect Vision, Perfect Emotion, Perfect Speech, Perfect Action, Perfect Livelihood, Perfect Effort, Perfect Mindfulness, and Perfect Meditation.

10. The Law of Allowing states "I am that which I am. I am pleased and joyful with it. Difference between us is good." In my case, I also studied 'A Course in Miracles' and the most powerful statement of all, for me, is, expressed in religious terms "I am as God created me". This means that I am not as I believe I am (I am not as I made me). This is very powerful and very liberating.

11. But one of the most powerful statements from Abraham, for me, in all the teachings, is "Another cannot come into your experience unless you invite them through your thoughts. Nothing will come into your mind unless you invite it in.
You are absolutely free to create your world and there is no need to contain or control others". This, to my mind, is Mastery of the Mind! Most of us are reacting and responding to external events in the world - good and bad - positive and negative. Mind Mastery is not about being reactive to what is out there, but being proactive, it's about being creative in thought, to what you will create out there.
So think creatively and positively and 'Guard your thoughts'.

Overall, I found the Law of Attraction, as narrated by Jerry and channeled by Abraham through Esther Hicks, to be very inspiring. It was also so comforting for me to be able, for the first time, to express my similar experiences and insights.

Oneness and teleporting through the Universe?

I had an interesting insight early this morning.

I guess it is because I have been reading so much lately
about Quantum Theory and how its laws explain the workings
of the Universe.

If the mind of the observer is the enabler of action.
If the mind can influence sub-atomic mattter (eg electrons)
If organisations like NASA and British Aerospace are all looking
for ways to tap in to the vast energy sources that exist in
the unknown, unmanifest, invisible, Universe, to bring about,
for example, teleporting to any part of the Universe,

....then maybe the only way we will all experience 'teleporting'
through enabling our minds, is through a paradigm of Universal Oneness?

Because Oneness implies total interconnectivity of all, then, as observers
and thought creators, we need to fully understand, or at least,
fully believe in, the laws of Universal Oneness.

The suggestion here is that once humanity has adopted the new
paradigm of Oneness as accepted mainstream thinking, that it will
then be possible to bring about new phenomena that goes beyond
time and space (which may only be a construct for nothingness to
exist in a dualistic world).

Then teleporting to other parts of the Universe, telepathy etc will be
possible, commonplace, and the next major form of transport for humanity.

I remember in my writings of 1991, in my short story 'Christopher and the
Knowledger'
, which was a simple outpouring of what I considered to be
naturally creative thoughts, insights and natural and spontaneous
writing, that I referred to this, at the time, as 'Cosmic Molecular
Transference'. Phew!

Beam me up Scotty!!!

'One' has it all, now!

Now here is an interesting riddle.

Recently, I was lecturing at Cranfield School of Management, and talking to the group about the power of a part of the brain, known as the Reticular Activating System (RAS) in helping us achieve better results. see www.makingmillionsontheweb.com

A delegate came up to me afterwards and told me to look at two films that also explained this in other terms. One was called 'The Secret', a film about the Law of Attraction, and the other was called 'What the Bleep - Down the Rabbit Hole'.

I found both films extraordinary and totally fascinating.

For the first time, I heard scientists, quantum physicists, medical practitioners,
religious leaders, personal development teachers and mystics all talk about the reality of Oneness and our illusion of separated beings as a main cause for most of our world problems.

So that was really great to see and hear.

Then a thought more about the Law of Attraction from scientific, religious and spiritual values perspectives.

I decided to meditate and to focus on those things that I really wanted to happen in my life. It sounds very cheesy, but I simply imagined a few obvious material things like a wonderful Tudor Manor House, teaching in a training complex in the South of France, a Mercedes convertible etc. You know, the normal western material dreams.

Then,it happened. All at once, all these things appeared in my life. Or, at least, I was very conscious of them all appearing, even though they had been around for a long time. My wife and I were invited by friends into their wonderful Tudor Manor House, an old work colleage invited us to their new learning village conference centre and complex in Provence, South of France, my son in law took me for a ride in his Mercedes convertible etc

Of course, we do not own them, but they all appeard for us to experience and enjoy.

Then I thought, well at least we are near to these things.

Then I thought further. If we are really all One, and not separated beings,
then I really do have all these things instantly, albeit through other parts of my larger Self. Also, no doubt, as the Quantum Physicists taught me, there are infinite potential possibilities in our Universe, so I could see 6.5 billion people as potential experiences and possibilities that I could share experiences with in order to create my Universe.

So maybe the Law of Attraction does provide us with our wants in many different ways.

So, 'One, has it all, now!'

I guess I now need to focus on the illusory separated 'me', this small part of the Oneness, owning and continually experiencing what I already own in Truth and in the wholeness. So,I choose what I want to experience from the Universal catalogue that already exists now. The spectrum of experiences in this world covers everything from suffering to happiness. My creativity allows me to observe events, circumstances and conditions that I choose. The more people in this world there are, the more it gives us all a much larger external Self to experience. Is that the paradox?

I am probably going insane, but who cares, and it's an amusing riddle anyway.
If we are really One, then those people in the world who believe in separate selves are not that sane either?

Imagine there is only Love

Imagine, for a moment, the idea that there is only Love. This is the only reality. The Universe has only One Law. The Law of Love. Imagine that all other non loving thoughts and ideas are not real, although they may feel real to us at the time, in our thoughts, words, actions and behaviours.

With this idea, there is only Love in reality. It is the uniting force of the Universe. Because the Universe is really only One Being, and we are all parts of that One Being, there cannot be separate parts ‘outside’ or ‘separated’ from the complete Oneness. Nothing else, outside this Oneness is real. With this idea, we recognise that we have mistakenly conceived non loving thoughts and actions as real things. As real separated things. But they are not. They are simply incorrect perceptions of reality. They are degrees of a ‘lack of love’ perception or temporary blockages and barriers to the reality of Love within us all. They are errors of perception that can be corrected so that we perceive, and eventually know, the reality, the knowledge, the Truth of Oneness.

Several years ago, I learned from a Course in Miracles that the act of Forgiveness is the way to return to the reality of the one law of Love and Universal Oneness.

How?

By forgiving the lack of love. The unreal perceptions, thoughts, words and actions of others, ‘in your Mind’ you are letting go of the unreal perception and can then see beyond this to the reality of Love and Oneness within the people who have deluded perceptions. You see them as they really are, beyond the superficial. You see for them what they do not see in themselves. Your real thoughts of forgiveness temporarily supply the lack they perceive. This heals. Healing is Unity, Oneness, Wholeness, Abundance and Love. Peace that passeth all understanding is the condition of Reality.

So, Forgive. At least Forgive in your own Mind, for the Love and for the healing of others. Forgive the world and heal the world in Mind. After all, they are you in Oneness. So you are helping to heal yourself. By forgiving with your Love you are receiving Love, which is your inheritance from the One Love of Oneness or God. Forgiveness continually lets me know that all minds are joined.

By meditating, you are returning to the state of natural peace, you are returning to the natural state of Love. Love created us all in its likeness. Recognise this reality in yourself and in others.

There can be no conflict in Peace! There can be no conflict in God. There can be no conflict in Love. This is Universal Wisdom.

Forgive the unreal. It will disappear. It does not exist in eternity, it only exists in time and process, which is relative reality within a limited mindset and understanding, but not absolute reality which is infinite. It will pass. Extend Love and Peace and Wisdom. Grow to what you already are, here and now. Unlearn. Remember. Enjoy.
Reality is a state of happiness and joy. A state of infinite life in the Oneness of Being.

I have learned and experienced that a miracle is a correction of an error of perception, transformed to a thought of perfect knowledge, a thought of wisdom and reality.

Perform a miracle now. Realise that any people that may be upsetting you are, in Realty, perfect and unconditional Love. But they are deluding themselves and projecting fear and non loving thoughts on to yourself and others, based on their own delusions about themselves. They need help to ‘re-mind’ them. They need to be shown what they really are through the demonstration of others who are re-minded and enlightened. The re-minded demonstrate that there is another way. A better way. The deluded then realise, through seeing the light in others, a spark of who they are in themselves. Truth will then start to correct all errors in their minds. This is better than allowing them to confirm their delusions through your deluded behaviour.

So your demonstration must be of a much better way, so that others can see the potential of a much better way in themselves. That better way comes in the demonstration of the knowledge of Oneness as attitudes, thoughts, words, writings, actions, behaviours, competencies, appearance, tools and technologies, material and financial achievements.

Inclusive Oneness.

This has to be a better way for All. This has to benefit all greatly. This has to provide extraordinary value and success to All as One. This has to make millions, if not billions, if not all, happier, healthier, wealthier.

Any act of Oneness will demonstrate and succeed, because it is reality.

The word of Truth is given us all to speak. Recognise the Truth in all.

Forgiveness is giving up, and letting go, of attack thoughts

Today, I find myself in a cottage in the country village of Wickhambrook, in Suffolk, U.K.

I am surrounded my corn fields and the farmer is busily ‘making hay while the sun shines’. There is a great sense of working hard with nature.

This weekend, a miracle occurred. I have been having such a stressful time with a few people who, I feel, have been taking great advantage of my wife and I. We have both felt sad, pressurised and even, for a while, victims!

Today, simply by a change of mind; simply by seeing things differently; that all changed in just a few seconds, in the ‘twinkling of an eye’. I went from a feeling of stress and sadness to a feeling of deep loving compassion and peace. I felt the strength of unconditional love
.
I realised this morning that ‘forgiveness’ is not just about forgiving the person(s) who you feel have harmed you, but forgiveness is really about giving up, within your own mind, any attack thoughts that you may have.

I have built up attack thoughts and I have also felt that I needed to defend myself.

Suddenly, by giving up all attack and all defence thoughts that were in my mind, I felt a great feeling of ‘forgive them father, for they know not what they do’. I felt sorry for them and their situation. I felt great compassion and a desire to help and heal.

How wonderfully extraordinary it was to experience a rushing in to my mind of love and compassion, when I allowed my attack thoughts to go. I let go.

So forgiveness, for me, became a wonderful healing for me, and I now have a great desire to try to help others who try to hurt. Even if they will not listen to me, I know that I can, at least, see them in my minds eye in a state of perfection, as they naturally are, albeit with the need to correct errors. This will come when they are able to change their minds. Until then, I feel strong, with a willingness to help, and more at peace, as opposed to weak, anxious, stressed and sad.

So forgiveness, for me, is such a great gift to me. Forgiveness is simply giving up, and letting go, my attack thoughts in my mind. Forgiveness, for me, is seeing who we really are and what we can really be. Forgiveness is seeing Love as the only reality and lack of love as a call for help. Lack of love is simply an error in understanding.

We all want to give love and be loved. Attack thoughts make us feel we are not loved. Forgiveness makes us feel we are giving love. When we give love, we receive love.

I think it is a miracle to feel such a change of state simply by a change of mind!

Namaste

Oneness and Sacred Femininity

As a Westerner, having been brought up in the UK as a Church of England Christian, I believe that one of my fundamental problems, and limiting beliefs, has been the exclusion of the sacred femininity in my religious beliefs since childhood.

I was simply taught throughout, that God is a man, and to this day, I talk to God as a man.

God is our Father who art in heaven.

The Catholic Religion has the Holy Mary to worship with the virgin birth, on the one hand, but it also has Mary Magdalene the prostitute, on the other.

I am convinced that some organised religions decided to remove the female component from the fountainhead of God for political power reasons. I was told that the original Lords Prayer, translated from the Aramaic language at the time of Christ, was:

Our Father who art in Heaven
Our Mother who art on Earth……

Whatever happened to the second line?

The Father / Mother principle, the Yin and Yang, the Shakti / Shiva, the God and Goddess of Love and Wisdom, make so much more balanced and complete sense to me. Intuitively, it has to be right!

But, as I said earlier, I missed the female component in my religious upbringing and I think that has caused me problems.

To me, God is One and All. The Creative Intelligence, the Loving Wisdom, whatever words you choose to use, must have the male and female components to complete the fullness of the creation of life. I also feel that it is not just man and woman characteristics but the male and female aspects of all beings!

This is why I find the Hindu religion and the Vedas so appealing. Even Buddhism has archetypal male and female Buddha’s for us to consider and meditate upon, depending on our needs.

While contemplating more deeply, or facing a particular problem or crisis in my life, I immediately find comfort when thinking about my late mother and father, and what they both might have said or done. But I need both before I can get a full perspective.

I guess psychoanalysts might say I have a mother complex, but really, I simply think that my religious upbringing, from a child, has been unbalanced. I wonder if the UK Church of England realises this imbalance too.

Once I thought that it was only men who could become enlightened and that women provided the role of guardian angels? Well, I certainly don’t think that now!

I must try harder to talk to God as male / female, mother / father, left and right, yin and yang, positive and negative – all together as One and All.

Then, and only then, can we truly be in Oneness.

The Truth of humanity as One being

We all seek happiness, health and wealth. We all want to love and be loved. We all naturally want to give our best and become successful, however we may choose to define success.

This means that we all want to be in a better state than we are now in. Perhaps thats why we set goals.

But if we move away from our seperate state and desires for a moment, and consider the whole of humanity as One being, and we are a part of that One being, then things can look very different.

Collectively, humanity as a whole is very abundant. All of the wealth and material objects in the world, as one, is simply staggering! If the true reality of humanity is really One being, we can say that the reality, the Truth, is that there is absolute abundance and not scarcity.

Collectively, humanity as a whole is an ongoing life force. Collectively humanity as a whole does not die. If the true reality of humanity is really One being, we can say that the reality, the Truth, is that there is no death.

We can apply the same thinking to lots of other apparent lacks and even disease.

If the true reality of humanity is One being, there is wholeness, abundance, health and, I guess, much more happiness. We can only Love one another, in such a reality, because we are each other in reality!

The problems of the world start when we believe that the reality is that we are not One being but billions of seperate individual beings.

That's when scarcity, lack, disease, poverty, competitiveness and violence occur.

The thought of Oneness is not new for Eastern spiritual and religious traditions, especially the Hindu, but it is a relatively new, but growing, thought for many Westerners.

I was told, if a new thought or concept appeals, try it. If it fades away - that's fine. If it stays and works and even grows, then let it be.

The thought of Oneness, interconnectivity, interdependance etc certainly works for me.

Oneness in nature and humanity?

Again, whilst walking in the foothills of the Pyrenees in SW France this morning, I had another insight.

I think it is the beauty of the mountains in the distance, the surrounding green rows of vineyards, the hot sun and the beautiful clear blue sky that does it. Especially, it gives a strong feeling of peace and solitude and, at the same time, total connection. And that is the point of this blog today really.

I felt, while walking, why is it that, when in nature, it is so easy to naturally feel connected to all things. To naturally feel that there is a creative force in everything, directing a magnificent play. A Oneness in diversity.

Yet, when with people, the connectedness and oneness is not so natural?

Of course, some people naturally resonate and radiate oneness, but many certainly do not.

I think, maybe, that it is simply that nature communicates that we all are inter-connected as One, silently with wisdom. Many humans communicate, sometimes loudly, that we are not connected at all. That we are seperated and, quite often, better than us, with misguided knowledge!

I even know humans who consider that we are not a part on nature, but are a super species above nature.

Maybe that explains the peace and silence of spirit and the, sometimes, disturbing noise of the ego? Or is that unfair?

Get drunk on the highest Spirit of all!

This morning I was walking the dogs up to the foothills of the Pyrenees, from our home in SW France, and wishing that I had not drunk so much wine the night before.

It's not a big problem, but I must confess that, being surrounded by miles of vineyards, good wine is very popular here, very cheap and very tempting.

Then I started to think more deeply about why I drink wine so often. In moderation, it is fine, but if too much is drunk, too often, it can certainly damage your health. I came to the conclusion that it is satisfying a real subconscious need. It is not so much the alcohol as the social setting, in a bar, at a party, at dinner parties with friends etc.

I yearn for connectivity with others. I am a social animal. I love the feeling of being with friends and I especially love any connectivity that gives a sense of oneness.

I then remembered that when I was working in Cambridge UK, I would go to the Cambridge Buddhist Centre for several evenings a week. There we never touched a single drop of alcohol. In fact we loved drinking herb teas together. It is a popular centre and it normally had large groups of very interesting and like minded people. Although I am open to all and every, or no religion, I found the people who visited the Centre had the same values as I - non-violence, an interest in the key questions of life, a genuine caring, compassion and even unconditional love for others. They seemed so much more peaceful than the normal group I would find in a bar.

So I realised that if I wanted to reduce alcohol, I needed to find something that was even better at putting me into groups where I felt an equal or even greater oneness. Ideally, something that created an even greater oneness than my favourite bar. The Buddhist Centre was one such place.

Now I realise that I can get absolutely drunk, every night of the week, on the highest Spirit of all! A spiritual centre has taken on a new meaning for me now.

So I guess it has taken me a lot longer than most people to realise a fundamental timeless Truth, that like minded spiritual groups naturally create the greatest sense of Oneness possible. But let's not forget that any community creating activity, especially in the evening, a cafe, a yoga and meditation class, evening talks about anything, also serve the greater purpose of Oneness.

If I can't find a like minded spiritual group, here in rural SW France, I will simply have to create one myself!

Making Millions on the Web

I was sitting in a railway station, on my way to London, a couple of days ago, and contemplating a question I had read on the web a few days earlier.

‘Ask yourself what the meaning and purpose of your life is and write down the answers on a piece of paper. Let the answers keep coming until you have one that makes you cry! Then you have found it’. So I took a pen and paper and started to write.

I was so excited with the very first answer that came out. ‘To take the ancient wisdom from around the world and transform it into modern wisdom stories, especially for children’ It didn’t make me cry but it made me feel I had a great meaning and purpose.

Later, on the train back from London to Stansted Airport, I added some more to my list.

Strangely, out came ‘To make millions on the Web’.

To put it mildly, it sounded very cheesy to me. But there was something that made me feel this was great. I felt that I was on to something.

Then I realised. It could mean:

‘To make millions of people on the web more happy, more healthy, more wealthy, more peaceful, more knowledgeable, more enlightened’ as so on …..in other words, giving millions of people extraordinary value through the web.

What a great mission statement! Imagine using the web to provide extraordinary value to millions. What a great heroic mission, if you dare?

And, of course, if it really did give millions of people such extraordinary value, then it would probably make millions of pounds / dollars, euros or whatever. I thought, what a great idea for a Foundation! Focus on millions of people. Invite and explore any initiative that has the potential to provide extraordinary value to millions of people through the web.

So, yesterday, I registered www.makingmillionsontheweb.com as step 1.

Now, as step 2, I cannot stop myself thinking about ways to use the web to make millions of people happier, healthier, wealthier, more at peace, more knowledgeable and, hopefully, even more enlightened about the world we all live in, and how to make the world a better place for us all.

Let’s see where this all goes.

Spirituality and Business Ethics

The tangible business world

Although I started my first business at the age of 25 years, and have been in business on my own for the next 35 years, I have always found it to be a great struggle between my spiritual values and the world of business. I have often felt odd and out of place.

The business world has its own rules, economy and ethics. Historically, it is based on a culture (values and beliefs) of ‘fear’. Therefore, it thrives on scarcity, competitiveness and secrecy. In this world, only the strongest survive. It is well known to be a ‘dog eats dog’ world for many. This seems to be the law of the ‘tangible’ world of things.

I have never liked this at all, and many people have said that I am too honest, too sincere and too open to be a good businessman.

The intangible business world

But my world is primarily based on ‘intangibles’. Knowledge and brain power is what I sell. And, instead of being fear based, I have always promoted open knowledge sharing based on ‘trust’. My world is based more on a culture of selfless service and, ultimately, I believe it to be ‘love’ based, or at least having a high positive regard and respect for everyone. In this world of knowledge and intangibles, we promote abundance not scarcity, collaboration and not competition, non-violence, coaching compassion and support and not violent dog eats dog. It’s an ethic more akin to Christ like or Buddha like values. I believe it to be cherishing spiritual values above material gain.

But because I prefer to see the good in all, the divinity in all, and the true reality of what we are, I tend to openly trust and help wherever and whenever I can. But often, as a result, when I meet competitive business warriors, I simply seem to get eaten alive.

So what do I do? Do I give up the business world? Do I stand firm and try to change the culture? Phew, that’s a huge task!

But maybe my time has come?

The ‘intangible’ global knowledge economy is now here! It’s huge! It’s likely to be one of the major business tides for the 21st century. It’s business evolution at its best.

And the only way the knowledge economy will thrive is when the culture produces natural knowledge sharing. This has to be based on trust, open communications, collaboration, partnerships and learning networks.

The knowledge economy will trade knowledge on the web for money on the web. Electronic bits of knowledge will be pumped around the planet on the web and traded for electronic bits of money in return. In many respects, this will provide enormous potential for the development of many knowledge workers around the world. For many, for many millions of people, if not billions, it will provide them with the perfect business and personal growth opportunities.

A new business ethics is emerging. A business ethics that is based on trust and love.

Perhaps, those that choose to stay in the old world of business ethics, based on fear, will find it difficult to trade and survive in the new intangible knowledge economy? Perhaps there will be a natural evolution to a higher order of business ethics?

Maybe my time has come to be a much better businessman after all?

The knowledge economy is like any economy. It’s about making knowledge and selling knowledge. But it will be interesting to see if we can develop and demonstrate a global business ethics based on trust and not fear.

I sincerely hope so, and I really look forward to the prospect.

The spiritual turning point to Enlightenment

The turning point and the enlightened transformation comes when you are ready and prepared to accept that there is no real choice in reality. Rather, it is just a matter of time, initially choosing, experiencing and learning, in a state of apparent free will, until we realise that there can be no choice. The Truth is the Truth. Reality is Reality. I am as I was created, and I am not as I believed and made myself to be.

But before we reach that stage, we believe that we have a choice, and, as a result, what then comes from us is a reflection of what we have chosen to believe and accept. So, if we choose to believe in a separated self with our own ego, then that is what manifests itself externally.

Eventually, there comes a time when we realise, and accept, that there is in reality a Higher Self, a Creative Intelligence, a Loving Wisdom from within, as our only source, and, in reality, we are all connected to, and part of that One. We are not separated beings, as we thought and believed. The only true reality is One Being connected through selfless Love.

When we realise this state, we also realise that, in Truth, we are a channel to express the Higher Self, uniquely.

This is magnificent diversity expressed within Unity.

We have no choice but to express and radiate the Truth in a totally selfless way. Unlike the ego that suppresses, based on fear, we realise that this Higher Self cannot be blocked, suppressed or hidden.

This is our spiritual heritage. This is the spiritual fruit that we must bear to the world. This is the spiritual fruit that we must allow to be given.

This is the inner song that we all must sing.

Enlightenment is when we transform from an ego centred perspective of saying ‘I can’t say this’, to a selfless perspective saying ‘I must say this. I cannot do anything other than express this as best I can. It’s not me that thinks these thoughts. They are given, not learned. It’s my meaning and purpose to express them. It’s my dharma.’

This is my true work. Nothing is more meaningful than this. Fulfillment.

In Love with Wisdom ebook

If you are interested, you may read my latest ebook
'In Love with Wisdom' as it is being written, through
this blog, and on my website

I would welcome any feedback you can give!

SYNOPSIS

In Love with Wisdom

by Ron Young

This book will simply rock the world!

It’s for the entire planet to read. All of the 6.5 billion people alive have a very special reason to read it.

It is the year 2070. The entire planet has become spiritually enlightened by the most extraordinary event ever in the history of humanity.

Absolute perfection and abundance prevails everywhere.

Perfect global ethics, with everybody totally caring, with selfless service, for everybody else.

Heaven has arrived on Earth. There are absolutely no problems whatsoever.

At least, that’s what everybody thought for a while!

In 2050 all books and electronic writings became totally unnecessary and disappeared completely. Everybody communicated and shared knowledge perfectly through the one global Mind.

Suddenly, in all its apparent perfection, people realised an evolutionary flaw. Nobody could remember how they became enlightened as a total planet.

Nobody knew how it was done.

The world started to panic and parents increasingly feared for their children. If humans fell back into the old separated mind states, with individual ego’s again, they might take thousands and thousands of years to learn how to become one completely enlightened planet again.

Joel and Nirmala, two young school children took on the task to save the planet.

They, like all children of 2070, were all naturally creative genius’s.

They soon discovered that there was one human being still alive, an astronaut of the 1990’s at the age of 127 years, who lived in an old monastery in the mountains of the French Pyrenees.

He had some ancient recollection and, together with the children, they managed to recreate the 8000 year evolutionary plan that revealed each of the 8 secret phases to enlightenment for everyone.

They did this through breaking through the mysteries and revealing the ancient timeless principles.

They learned together, and shared with all the world, the workings of the secret philosophy that they all called ‘in love with wisdom’.

They saved the planet forever!

The monk who sold his Ferrari

I have just finished my third read of Robin Sharma'

great book, The monk who sold his Ferrari.

Each time I read it, I become inspired and learn more.

I particulary like to read, and strive hard to practice
the '10 Rituals of Radiant Living':

solitude, physicality, live nourishment,
abundant knowledge, personal reflection, early
awakening, music, spoken word and congruent
character.

If you haven't read the book yet - you must.

I highly recommend it.

Oneness and selfless service

We are often reminded that the most noble and the

most worthy purpose is to be of selfless service to others
in need.

It occured to me this morning that selfless service is really

another way of understanding Oneness.

When we perform truly selfless acts, we are really losing

our ego and embracing others as us. Therefore,

selfless service, to me, is naturally acting in the state

of Oneness.

But I also realised that selfless service is, really another

way of understanding Love.

Selfless service to another individual, or for the good

of all humanity, is naturally loving others.

So, if our reality is Oneness, we know that this is

according to the Law of Love, which is demonstrated

by selfless service?

Love - Oneness - Selfless service

Thoughts as the true cause of the effect

Most of us are familiar with the concept of cause and effect.
But it is normally explained as a material thing, i.e. if I
sow seeds, good and bad, I will reap what I sow.

I learned that the true cause is the thought behind the
action.

If I sow 'thought seeds', good and bad, I will reap the
effects, as both thoughts and physical manifestations.

Thoughts are creative things and bundles of energy.
The more thoughts we have of the same type, positive
and negative, the larger the bundles of energy that
they will create, and become our dominating thought
patterns.

Beliefs are dominating thought patterns.

We become what we believe we are, and our challenge,
therefore, is to seek and know the Truth. To know
reality, as it really is, not necessarily as we believe.

So I strive to sow virtuous thoughts and feelings, in the
certain knowledge that it will reap virtuous actions?

Christopher and the Knowledger - a spiritual journey to Enlightenment

I am glad to announce the launch of my downloadable
ebook Christopher and the Knowledger.

This is the story of a man who has finally discovered
the eternal Truths of the Universe, and the special
purpose and meaning for human beings on Earth.

But he does not realise nor understand the meaning
behind the Truths, nor does he know how he discovered
them.

He meets the Knowledger, who reminds him of the
Universal Truths he has learned, and teaches him
how anybody can learn to harness the power of the
Universe, as part of the perfect plan for all humankind.

He then becomes a Knowledger himself, and is then
able to teach others the meaning and purpose of life.

The Zimmers, My Generation and Oneness

If you didn't watch the TV programme last night, you simply have to view this video. It's truly brilliant. So inspirational and such a great btestimony to true Oneness. I wonder if 'The Who', when they recorded this in the 1960's would have ever belived that it would be re-recorded in the 21stC by people aged up to 100 years old, and broadcast around the world on the internet. Fantastic and congratulations to all involved.

Oneness and your neighbour

We increasingly talk about all of us being connected 'As One',
on a planet where we are all clearly inter-connected and highly
interdependant on each other.

If Oneness is not something you are comfortable with, we are
asked by all of the major religions in the world to 'Love thy
neighbour as thy self', or something very similar. The key words
here to recognise, are not just to treat our neighbour the way
we would like to be treated, but to treat them 'as ourselves',
which is also saying we are all One.

But several people have told me how very difficult, or even
impossible it is, for them to go to the next stage, which is to
forgive and love our enemies!

Well, a wise man once told me that if you take your worst
enemy, and if you found that you are both locked in a jammed
elevator for 24 hrs, and you got the chance to hear your
enemies life story, that you would see that person completely
differently. He said that you would forgive, and perhaps even,
love thy neighbour as thyself.

What does this say to you?

It tells me that much of our world's problems, locally and
globally, are a result of a lack of communication of information
about each others situation and position. Our true reality.
Our life stories. Our loves and fears. Our beliefs and dreams.

So, if we experience a difficult problem with a neighbour, we
should perhaps remind ourselves. 'they have a life story to tell,
they want to be loved and love too'.

Another wise management consultant once told me, at the start
of my consulting career, 'take any problem that's presented to
you and you will find that the root cause is lack of communication
of information'. Increase the communication of information,
improve the frequency of communication from 'infrequent and
one way' to 'frequent open two way' communication, and the
problems will simply, and naturally, fall away'.

I think that if we really did believe that we are all One
interconnected and interdependant humanity, that we would
naturally want to openly communicate, inform and help
one another.

Isn't this the real challenge for the evolution of humanity
in the 21st Century?

The Buddhist story of the 'Heedless Monk'

I simply love the Buddhist story of the heedless monk.
I suppose it is because I can laugh and relate to the bit about
drinking too much alcohol on occassions in my life.

As the story goes, the Buddhist Monk was making his
morning rounds for his alms, when he was invited into
the house by an attractive woman.

She immediately locked the door and told him that
she would not open it until he had done one of three
things:

1. Kill the goat in the yard and eat it with her or
2. Have sex with her or
3. Drink the jug of wine with her

The monk was bewildered!

As a monk, following the precepts of his Order, he
pledged not to harm any beings. He also pledged
not to have sexual intercourse, and he pledged not
to take intoxicants for the mind.

Eventually, he decided that, if he had to do one thing that
would cause the least harm to beings, it would be to
drink the wine.

So he drank the jug of wine with the woman, became
very intoxicated and, as a result , had sex with the woman,
killed and feasted on the goat! All three!

Sometimes, what you think is the most harmless can
become the most heedless, especially in the case of
mind changing substances!

Oneness - The Prodigal Son coming home

I like the story of the prodigal son, and I am convinced
that we all have to be prodigal sons and daughters
to then understand Oneness, or coming home.

Have you ever said, 'I have come back home, at last'

For me, I had to travel the world, several times, before I
realised that there was no need to search outside.

But that's life!

The Dark Night of the Soul

So, maybe we enter the Earth life, to develop concepts of fear,
death, seperatedness. In other words we develop a belief system
of illusions based on negativity. Untruth.

Then, once we have experienced what we are not, we are
ready to seek and recognise what we really are. The Truth.
Otherwise, without imperfection, we cannot know who
we really are - perfection . Without the dark, we cannot
appreciate the light.

Do we all have to go through the dark night of the Soul to
experience an enlightened state? Is that a journey we all
have to take?

Spiritual Knowledge, a response to Who, What, Why, Where, When, How

In one of my other blogs, my knowledge management
blog at
http://km-consulting.blogspot.com

people often search for the meaning of knowledge and
wisdom and search for 'who, what, why, where, when, how'
of knowledge. Apparently, if you have answers to these
six questions, you get to the knowledge and truth.

On a recent flight, whilst contemplating knowledge and wisdom,
I realised a spiritual knowledge response to these six questions
could be:

1. Who - God
2. What - Gods creative intelligence, loving wisdom
3. Why - This is reality. This is the Truth
4. Where - Here always
5. When - Now always
6. How - Know thyself (the six questions)

Does this make any sense to you ?

Work as a spiritual process

I love this quote by John Randolph Price,
author of The Super Beings

"Everyone should have some way of contributing to this world and
be paid well for doing it.

That’s what jobs are for.

"Work" is a spiritual process when consciousness is in tune with
the Source within."

Oneness, energy and matter

We are told that all is energy.

That energy is indestructible, but can be transformed.
That we have higher and lower vibrations of energy.

Low dense and slow vibrations are associated with physical
matter, that we can see, hear and touch. High vibrations are
associated with invisible energies.

Through continuous heating, thick dense ice will become
more fluid water, and eventually vapourous steam.
Through continuous cooling the opposite will occur.

Thoughts may be considered to be high energy entities.

If we continually focus on the same thoughts, we know
that they will turn into more dense and dominant thought
patterns and beliefs, and eventually, into material
manifestation.

So the whole manifest world that we are experiencing,
has the footprint of the collective dominant thoughts
of humanity.

So, maybe the whole world wide web, which is thought
driven, can be seen as an earlier reflection of the ever
changing manifestations of humanity? Or is it more
than an early reflection?

So, we have today global warming of the ice flows, to
water, and forecast destruction; and we have
global cooling of our thoughts and ideas,
to matter, and, hopefully, forecast construction?

Loving Wisdom and the Mastery of Mind

For some time, I have realised that the infinite inner power
within, call it creative intelligence, or Higher Self, or God,
is infinitely abundant and keeps coming through us all.

I have realised that I will always have this power coming
through. It has not dried up, and has never been lacking
in any way at all. This happens daily. I can trust, rely and
count on this. This is the creative intelligence in action.

Therefore, it is vital that I recognise this power is coming
through, at all times, and make sure that my mind, which
is my chooser and decision maker, channels this creative
power to the right, positive things, to create for the good
of One and All.

I must guard my thoughts and mind, and ‘take mastery
of my mind’ at all times. I must transcend mind training
to Mind Mastery.

The creative force cannot help itself pouring though.
The force will always channel to what I choose.
What I think and what my mind chooses, it becomes.
In other words, I choose who, what, why, where, when,
how I give this power to.

If I choose positive things - I create positive things,
if I choose negative things, I create negative things.

I have been wrong. over the years.

I now realise more than ever before that I have given
too much of this power to external people, events,
things etc, instead of focusing on the power within as
the primary cause and the external manifestations
as a result.

By focusing too much on the external result, and not on
the true inner cause, I have continued to experienced
much separation from my true source.

First, as a child, I gave this power to authoritative people
- parents, schoolteachers, employers etc to shape my
conscious (thinking) and, ultimately, penetrate my
subconscious, (feeling) beliefs, and acting mind.

I experienced in my childhood, wrong thinking, especially
fears and deep anxieties, even traumas on occasions,of
‘separatedness’, ‘death’, ‘violence’, ‘loser’ ‘shy’ apparent
‘lack of love and intimacy’ lack of money and debt etc.

In other words, much negativity. (I guess we all have this
story to tell in one way or another)

From my teenage years, I have also given this power to alcohol.
Initially, it was to overcome ‘childhood to manhood’, shyness
and bravado, singing in a band, being one of the boys,
sexuality and physical intimacy with women, socialising.

It was, initially, a coping mechanism.

It worked in the beginning. I associated alcohol with much
pleasure (and still do). Then it became a subconscious habit
for certain times and events, and gradually, it became harmful to my health.

But alcohol is a drug that will change the natural ‘utterly positive’
and natural state of my conscious mind. This has caused my
mind to reach quick highs and then to plunge into lows.

Initially, they were no more than hangovers, but eventually, a
s the drinking continued more regularly, I would tend to think
more negatively and create negatively, after the event.

I now see that this has caused some paranoia in my mind,
sometimes deep anxiety and, on occassions, much negativity.

But this negative frame of mind keeps reproducing the
creative power and intelligence within, as negative feelings,
situations and experiences because it is ‘my will’ being satisfied.

The subconscious does not judge, it takes everything literally.

It just delivers my wants and needs.
It delivers the negatives as well as the positives.

The subconscious does not know the Truth.
It acts on everything submitted to it, as its truth.

But the 'superconscious', creative intelligence, Holy Spirit,
call it what you will does. It knows the perfect pattern for
us all. If we care to listen, trust and let go.

The Revelation

Up until this time, I felt that there was good and bad in the
real world for you and me.

This is because of living in the world of duality and opposites.

Increasingly, I learned that there are good positive thoughts
that we can cultivate and that will override any negative thoughts.

I started meditating more on loving kindness and mindfulness.

I became more mindful in all my daily actions.

So I knew, intellectually and intuitively, that the power within is
continuously and abundantly there!

I knew that my subconscious mind would carry out the
patterns of my subconscious needs and wants.

But, oh dear, with such a conscious revelation to the great
and continuously flowing power within, what if I still had
hidden negative destructive patterns in my subconscious?

I knew that the more I kept positive, the better.
I knew that if I ‘consciously’ thought of the creative intelligence
as my positive supply that, when I was conscious of this, I
would be positively creating in the external world, based on
positive thoughts

I knew this was all based on feelings and I had, from time
to time, some very strong feelings based on negative fear
(and stomach churns) in creating that reality, but also,
when ‘thankful and in gratitude’ for receiving positive
power from within, I got some good feeling also.

So things were starting to change.

A big difference for me was the affirmation:

‘I am a channel of God’ – a co-creator,

and not just ‘me’ doing this good work alone.

For me, this was a moment of Enlightenment!

I was also reminded that this inner creative intelligence,
or spirit within, is omnipresent and omniscient, so if it was
with me all the time, why was I fearing negativity and
evil, at all??

Then I read the introduction to the book ‘A Course in Miracles’
again. I have read this book several times over the years.

‘Nothing real can be threatened
Nothing unreal exists’

- Herein lies the peace of God

That made me think again and very hard indeed.

It reminded me that there is just One Law of Love and
Knowledge/Truth

This is your true reality, your enlightenment, when you
realise that there is not really a choice in reality at all.

Truth will always be Truth.

The only choice is the time you decide/choose to realise the Truth.

But we all have an apparent choice. We can choose if we wish
to see the Truth or our own made version of the truth,
our personal beliefs.

We can choose to be ‘as God created ’(reality)
or ‘as we made ourselves’

If we choose the reality we made ourselves, then this is
not true reality, although it can certainly seem very real for us.
We can continue, for as long as we like with our own free will,
to continue to live our own illusion.

The Course in Miracles also says:

‘This is a course in miracles. It is a required course.
Only the time you take it is voluntary. Your free will does
not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means
only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time.’

This is saying the same thing.

We can choose to live in Gods Truth when we want to.
We can choose to abandon our errors and false beliefs when
we want to.

Then I put these thoughts together with my writings
around ‘Loving Wisdom’

I realised that we can, and must at some time, choose to
accept the one Law of Love and Knowledge.
That there is, in reality, only what I like to call
Loving Wisdom all around us.

But we choose.

And this choice is also based on our health (mental, emotional and physical)

So, we must purify our minds, thoughts, feelings and bodies first.

This is done through Forgiveness.

Remove the mental and emotional toxins, guilt and negativity a
round self, people and events.

Remove physical toxins when the mental and emotional are
removing (naturally you will want to remove these physical
toxins, because the primary cause of this will fall away.)

When you are enlightened to the Law of God, Love, Oneness,
Loving Wisdom, all else naturally falls away.

If we only accept Gods Law for Loving Wisdom, as the primary
cause, and reject those other externals that you have given
power to, then this is:

‘Loving the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy mind
and all thy soul’

Put no others, at all, before God as the only reality.

The true reality is that you are a son of God. We are all
sons and daughters of God. We are One and this is in All.

Then, daily, treat the subconscious, through the conscious
and ‘feel’ the One Law of Love and Wisdom enter the
subconscious thoughts, feelings and actions.

Hence, herein lies the ‘Peace’ of God.

Let the unreality ‘not exist’.

Be mindful and change.

Imagine your highest vision possible within your
consciousness to help yourself attain this state of
enlightenment, to then help your family, friends,
business associates, community and the world.

Ensure your highest vision includes total communion
within, to your higher self, at all times, and focus this
one laser beam on providing the best possible service
and value you can to One and All.

That is Mastery of Mind!

Oneness and the egoless state

It's amazing!

If I think I have thought these thoughts, spoken these words,
felt these feelings, written these words, performed these actions,
just as me - then sometimes I can feel good or bad about myself,
according to the results and my level of self confidence and self
esteem. Also, I might worry about whether what I have done is
worthy or not. It is based on my ego state.

If I just change my mind.

If I think that my Higher Self has thought these thoughts,
spoken these words, felt these feelings, written these words,
performed these actions, through me, then I will always feel
good, fulfilled and thankful and consider what has happened
through me, to be unquestionably worthy.

The same happenings, but totally different states of mind and
feelings. One concerned with the seperated ego state, and the
other concerned with the egoless state of connected Oneness.

Inner and outer directed energy?

Are you more inner or outer directed?

Think, for a moment, how much time and effort you place
on anticipating and achieving external results and becoming
stressed when the external does not meet our needs and wants.
That's being outer directed. That's connecting with a limited
outer expression, and disconnecting with your true source
and power

Think, for a moment, how much time and effort you place
on connecting and communing with your inner Higher Self,
and relaxing in the certain knowledge that the inner will
manifest in the outer. That's being inner directed with an
unlimited source, and connecting with your true source and
power.

Of course, we are both.

However, if you are more inner directed than outer directed,
your inner visions and imaginations will manifest much faster
in the external world, than if you are more outer directed.

Even if the outer experience is not good today, that's yesterdays
expression in manifestation, so master the mind and turn inward
as much as you can. Commune with inner love, peace and wisdom
- inner 'loving wisdom' - and relax in certain knowledge that this
inner experience will become our outer experience sooner.

Oneness and U Thant at the United Nations

So, today, once again, I realise that what I thought was a
great revelation, was only a great revelation to me.

Last week I realised that a better realisation of 'Oneness'
could have a major impact on society. This caused me to
write a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Yesterday, researching Oneness further, I learned that in 1975
religious leaders of the world sent a statement of the importance
of Oneness to U Thant, the Buddhist monk, who
was the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the 60's/70's!

Furthermore, they said it much better than I ever could.

Well, at least, I know that I am on the right track.
I think?

Videoblog of Letter to the United Nations about Oneness

I thought I would post a videoblog of my letter to the Secretar-General of the United N, concerning Oneness, on YouTube.

This is my first attempt to create a videoblog, so the first few seconds only have a sound problem.

As always, I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

If you wish to support my message, you can do this from the homepage of my website

The Web and Oneness

It seems that Oneness has emerged for me as the key
topic of this year, so far. Last year it was Enlightenment.

It seems that everywhere I look on the Web, I see
fantastic websites with stories and video's on how
more and more people are experiencing Oneness
in their day to day activities and work.

Well, I am a knowledge management consultant, and
if you also work with global connectivity, communications,
collaborative workgroups, learning, creating, sharing and
applying knowledge globally, you know that you simply
cannot help but think this way, naturally.

The best example for me, so far, is

www.globalonenessproject.org

Good luck with this great work!

Suddenly, I feel so much more liberated!

Oneness Message from Sri Bhagavan

Duration 01.31 minutes

Just a couple of days after posting my letter to the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon,on how a better understanding of Oneness can dramatically affect the achievement of the 8 United Nations Millennium Development Goals, I discover this video from Sri Bhagavan on Oneness.

He says it much better than I ever can!

Today, I felt compelled to write to Ban Ki-moon, Secretary
General of the United Nations and urge him to consider how
the realisation of Global Oneness could have a major effect
on achieving the eight Millennium Development Goals.

A copy of the letter is enclosed below.

If you are in agreement with what I say, and my request for
the UN to now urgently consider this, I respectfully ask you to
register your agreement too.

Secretary-General
Ban Ki-moon
United Nations First Avenue at 46th Street
New York, NY10017 USA
21st April 2007
Dear Secretary-General,

The real solution beyond the 8 Millennium Development Goals

For the past 14 years, as a knowledge management consultant
based in Cambridge UK, I have helped individuals, teams,
organisations and global communities better harness, create, share
and apply their collective knowledge.

Most recently, I have assisted UN agencies concerned with
eradicating extreme poverty, and concerned with global
biodiversity and conservation for a sustainable planet.

This involves the development of radically new knowledge
strategies, processes, systems and global web centric technologies.

More importantly, it requires new thinking and cultures, based on
our new global knowledge working capabilities to better collaborate
and work as one.

This work gave me a very special insight indeed into the work of
the UN from a global knowledge management perspective.
I think this may be a new perspective. And, therefore, I feel
compelled to share it with you.

As a result, I have now realised, at the age of sixty, that, in my
humble opinion, the United Nations is missing the most important
goal of all, and it is in itself the only real solution to all the eight
established MDGs. In its continued absence, the MDGs may never
be fully realised.

This goal fully embraces and transcends all religions and non
religions and belief systems.

It is:

‘To develop a universal education of our true reality ’

The only real answer to the world’s problems and sufferings, and
at least the MDGs, is a proper understanding of who we really are.
Global science and technologies are starting to demonstrate this.

Historically, we have got it wrong through inadequate knowledge
and education.

With the greatest respect, the majority of people in the world are
living in fear and an illusion at worst, and living in doubt with partial
knowledge at best, about our true reality.

This is why the manifest world of violence, selfishness and suffering
will continue to be a reflection of our wrong thinking until we correct
it.

Science and technology can now demonstrate the truth that we are
all One in reality. Despite misleading physical appearances of
separation, we have known for many years that we are not the
separate physical body.

The ongoing life force of humanity uses separate bodies but is, in
fact, one underlying entity of which we are all interconnected and
interdependent.

The science and technologies emerging in the 21st Century are now
demonstrating what the ancient wisdom has been trying to teach us
for centuries.

A major shift in thinking now has to emerge about our true identity.

I believe this was first made explicit in the Vedas and Upanishads
of India several thousand years ago; this is hidden or obscurely stated,
and not well understood, in most major world religions and spiritual
traditions; this can now be glimpsed and much better understood
through the emerging Web 3.0 and wireless technologies towards
a more meaningful and collective global mind; and this can now be
taught and more easily understood to all ages and all cultures.

Think, just for a moment, about the enormous impact and the
major social and economic implications for the world by
understanding and applying this truth.

In this new way of thinking there would be an immediate impact
on global ethics. This would immediately impact world terrorism,
general violence and all forms of crime. There would be an
immediate impact on extreme poverty and hunger, primary
education, gender equality, child mortality, maternal health,
HIV/AIDS, and other diseases, environmental sustainability
and global development partnerships.

All that is required is for people to think differently about who
we really are.

Once people realise that, in fact, we are one underlying
entity of which we are all interconnected and interdependent,
and not separate beings, an immediate change in belief will
immediately change our attitudes, performance and behaviours.

This is not religion. This is a paradigm shift in our thinking as a
result of new knowledge.

This sounds simple, but you know much better than I that it
requires new effort, policy and action. It requires, at least,
education, education and more education!

May I respectfully beg you to consider this further? We are
all living in a privileged time when the increasingly rapid global
knowledge sharing that is taking place, through global
communications, collaboration and continuous learning
technologies will bring about this paradigm shift and quantum
leap in our human evolution in the foreseeable future.

But we need global leadership and facilitation of this major
event for humankind now.

We need the United Nations to now consider this further, and
to understand and act on this.

The last great challenge is to enable the countries of the
world to work together as one, globally, in providing a universal
education of our true reality, and let it be delivered in culturally
acceptable ways locally.

The UN strives for universal primary education for all in
underdeveloped areas. But I respectfully suggest that what we
really need now is universal primary spiritual knowledge and
education for all areas of the advanced, developed and
underdeveloped world areas.

There is much suffering throughout the entire world today,
based purely on spiritual poverty!

I propose that it is timely for the UN to develop something like
a Universal Declaration of Global Human Identity.

Naturally, I would be delighted to expand on this thinking to
anyone at any time.

My primary interest in life is to try to contribute, as best I can,
to this understanding, and to the better use of rapidly emerging
global knowledge networks and supporting technologies, that are
moving us all towards an awareness and understanding of an
increasingly interconnected and interdependent humanity, at one
with itself.

I sincerely hope that you might consider further how this one goal
is absolutely critical to the fulfilment of the eight Millennium goals.

Respectfully yours,
Ron Young

I felt compelled to become a vegetarian

In my thirties I felt compelled to become a vegetarian.

Most of the people I meet are not vegetarians. Most of the
people I eat with socially today, are not vegetarians.

So, as a result, I am often asked 'Why are you a vegetarian,
is it for religious or health reasons?'

Actually, the primary reason is neither. The primary reason
is spiritual. I can no longer subscribe to any suffering of any
being that is not absolutely necessary.

My early childhood encounter with violence, together with
a growing sensitivity to the inter-connectedness of all beings
led me to the view that 'all life is sacred'.

Nearly thirty years ago, my wife and I bought a small organic farm
in Thaxted, Essex, UK, we had to have horses, chickens, cows
and calfs, goats, pigs, ducks, geese, birds, dogs, cats etc.

Of course, we gave all of them names. We would feed over 60
mouths a day.

We personally fed them all I remember three piglest
that we called 'pork, chops, and bacon'.

Well you know where I am going from here!

I just survived a friend killing our first cockerel.
Drinking milk and eating eggs was ok.

But taking the pigs and the family cow to the abbattoir!!!

Too close. Too real. Too much suffering and violence.
This was really really harming other beings! Other
sacred life!

It didn't take long to realise that this was wrong for us.

I believe that people are too shrink wrapped supermarket
removed from the reality of suffering and, I believe many
would come to the same conclusion we did, if they had
live so closely to the natural truth.

So vegetarianism started as a spiritual cry not to harm any
other being - non-violence. However, today I can feel many
health benefits and ecological benefits for being vegetarian.
More about that later...

Wisdom of Taoism

I am so open to what all major religions can teach us.

Whenever I read something that resonates deeply, I suspect
it is the Truth, and I should pay particular attention.

Recently, I came across this snippet if wisdom on Taoism that
I resonated with at:

www.itsmysite.com

In ancient China (around 2,500 years ago), a religious system called Taoism was firmly established by a holy man named Lao-tzu. Although one may find, in their scriptures, things that are mysterious or confusing, the basic teachings of Taoism can be summarized thus:

1. Discover the Ultimate Truth behind man and universe, and,
2. Practise this Ultimate Truth by becoming One with it, then,
3. These are the correct Way (Tao) of human existence.

Cool !

The great gift of non-violence

My recent blog about my first encounter with violence made me
remember that one of the greatest attractions to me, in another
human being, is an attitude of non-violence.

It is, for me, the primary requisite for inner peace.

So I was so pleased to be reminded today that it was Martin
Luther King who nominated Thay Nhat Hanh, the Vietnamise
Buddhist Monk, for the Nobel Peace Prize, as a result of his
non-violence during so many years of war and terror.

Ultimately, it was the non-violence of Ghandi that won in India.

And, it is the non-violence of Nelson Mandela, despite many
years of extreme hardship, that won through in the end.

I know, in my own life, that whenever I am confronted with
physical, emotional and mental violence, that my reaction is
to almost take pity, and I try to be compassionate if I can.

I do know that non-violence is absolutely right. Violence
is wrong. Peace keeping troops are doomed to failure, unless
we all have a peace within.

So I strive on to improve ....

The whole Universe is an extension of yourself

I enjoyed discovering the global oneness project website,
and watching the video interviews from people who are
experiencing oneness, unity and inter-connectivity in their
work at:

www.globalonenessproject.org

The interviewees were asked what oneness meant to them.

It reminded me of my first noticable glimpse and encounter
with oneness.

I was in my mid-thirties on a business trip to San Francisco.

I checked into my hotel room and was amazed at the view from
my window of the panorama of skyscrapers and buildings
reaching down to the bay.

Suddenly, I felt quite strange. And then it occurred to me.

All these buildings and all this activity is for me. All this is
for all of us. This is an extension of me!

Well that really felt weird. At first, I could not understand it
at all. Gradually, it started to make more sense.

The whole Universe is an extension of yourself!

In moments of meditation, when I can absorb myself into
anything, or when I walk in the countryside, and feel the
closeness of nature, I often feel:

We are All in the One and the whole One is in each of us All.

My first encounter with violence and brutality

Again, it is a universal Truth that all of humanity goes through a first
experience of, what we perceive at the time to be, violence and brutality.

Of course, the circumstances and our reactions to them will vary
enormously, but the first impact is still there.

For me, as a child of around 7 years, I vividly remember watching the
television set at home and seeing a documentary of the Nazi
concentration/death camps from world war II.

I was simply horrified to the core to see lots of dead bodies being
thrown into large open trenches.

The experience has never left me. How could anybody do that.

Similarly, I have seen so many instances, from childhood to the
present day, where people have been executed.

I remember film from Vietnam of a soldier pointing a gun to the
head of a kneeled prisoner, and then executing him. And much more.

Even fictitious thrillers that involved people being hung at the gallows,
or going to the guillotine, or convicted murderers on death row, or
fighting with gladiators, or burnt at the stake, just horrify me beyond
words.

Even my school friends thought I was wacky to not like the violence
in films about cowboys and indians. Today, I still refuse to watch any
TV or film that is violent!

I have never been able to understand such violence between human beings!

I sort of understand violence and killing in the animal kingdom as
the law of nature, and necessary for survival, but I don’t even like to
watch this either.

I don’t even like arguments and confrontations, although I have to
say that I continue to argue and get caught in confrontations, even
to this day. I must keep working on this.

Yet, on a daily basis, following global news on TV and the newspapers,
we are bombarded with rape, knife killings, shootings and muggings.
Daily, we hear of bombings and shootings of soldiers and innocent
civilians in wars around the world!

Such suffering. Such violence and such brutality. And we are now
in the 21st century!

To me, all life is sacred. It is a supreme gift. Life is a miracle. We are
all each others family.

How can anybody contemplate harming another being, let alone
inflict violence, brutality and even killing?

I wonder how much this first encounter with violence and brutality
affected my desire to seek the Truth and to want to see the
development of spiritual values of unconditional love and compassion,
forgiveness, peace, wisdom, purity and happiness.

Do you remember your first encounter with violence and brutality?

Namaste! I salute the divinity in you.

Namaste! I salute the divinity in One and All

My first encounter with the experience of separation

It’s a universal Truth. All human beings, at least, have a first
encounter with the experience of separation.

When exactly, I don’t know.

It may even be a subconscious feeling and experience when leaving
the mothers womb, or the first breath, or the cutting of the
umbilical cord.

But for me, although I cannot remember the early birth experience,
I clearly remember my first conscious experience, and trauma,
of separation.

I guess I was around three/four years old and living with my parents
in Dagenham Essex in the United Kingdom. We lived in a three
bedroomed corner council house, next to a large park.

My father was a steam train engine driver, and he was obviously
working his night shift. I was put to bed in the early evening. My
mother decided to simply go out to the next door neighbour,
Mrs Rawlings, probably just for a simple chat and a cup of tea.
I guess she would have done this many times to while the time
away from Dads night shift.

Unfortunately, for her that night, I was not fully asleep. She hadn’t
even got past the front gate when I rushed into her bedroom and
literally screamed the house down! I remember that I was quite
uncontrollable at the time. I screamed for my mother not to leave me.

My poor mother. She had to come back into the house and console me.
Eventually, I must have fallen asleep. Whether she stayed in, or
went back to Mrs Rawlings I don’t know.

This first conscious experience of separation was very traumatic
for me. A simple seemingly harmless act turned out to be something
that stuck within me all my life.

After a year with a psychoanalyst in 2003, fifty seven years later,
he concluded that this child trauma had a significant effect on my
worldview concerning security, relationships and intimacy.

Maybe the first conscious experience for others may not be
traumatic at all. I am not sure what is supposed to be the normal.
Presumably, there should be no trauma? I don’t know. Maybe we
all have a first traumatic experience of separation?

Certainly, we all have a first experience of separation!

I now wonder to what degree this traumatic act had on my
subsequent seeking for the Truth, and the eventual realisation that
we are not separate, but connected as One and All.

Let’s face it, this spiritual Truth of One and All is totally and
diametrically opposite to the physical act and illusion of being separate!

Even our scientists, today, will confirm that we do not end at the end
of our skin. There is no physical end or boundary to our skin.

Under a microscope / spectrometer we realise that we are really a
spectrum of energy that fades in intensity between people to give the
illusion to the human eye that we are separate. In reality we are all
connected in the same soup of energy, or I prefer the metaphor of the
same one Ocean of life.

At the sub-atomic level, in Truth, all beings are One being of energy
that is simply flowing and ‘becoming’ all the time.

I wonder if we all have to have this experience of ‘apparently being
separated’ to then be given the motivation and opportunity to then l
earn the Truth of no separation?

It has been said by many that life on planet earth is a spiritual school,
and we all need to have a set of experiences that are contrary to the
Truth, to then cause and enable us to seek and realise the Truth?

Can you remember the details of your first encounter with the
experience of separation?

ONE is the solution to everything, lets start with the Millenium Development Goals

Imagine, just for a moment, that we are all One.
Imagine that reality and Truth is Oneness.
Imagine that we will all realise that one day

All beings, living and non-living, from gases, minerals,
plants, micro-organisms, insects, animals and human beings,
all flowing as parts of ONE Planetary organism. One large soup.
And that is just a perspective for Planet Earth!

If you are able to, you can extend this to include all in our solar system,
or even galaxy or Universe as ONE creative intelligent being.

Imagine, if we all knew this to be true, we would immediately realise that:

- harming any being is really harming ourselves - eventually there
could be no violence.

- allowing extreme poverty, hunger and suffering is really suffering
ourselves - eventually there could be no poverty, hunger and suffering.

- not achieving universal primary education, in any part, is really not
educating ourselves - eventually there could be, at least, universal
primary education

- not promoting gender equality and empowerment for women,
anywhere, is really not promoting equality and empowerment
for ourselves - eventually there could be no inequality or
disempowerment.

- not promoting the best and fastest way to combat HIV / AIDS
maleria and other diseases, is really keeping ourselves diseased
and - eventually there could be faster and more effective solutions
to disease.

- not ensuring environmental sustainability in any part of the world
is really not ensuring our own environmental sustainability
so - eventually there could be global environmental sustainability

- not developing an effective global partnership for development
is really not communicating with ourselves - eventually we could
be All communicating as One.

So, by simply realizing that we are truly One, would immediately
provide us with a new set of global ethics, a new perspective of
who we really are, a new Self .......

..... and the reality of One would be the solution to everything,
starting with some key Millenium Development Goals.

Can we achieve this realisation before 2015?

My first encounter with the idea of death

I have often contemplated why it is that I have been continually
seeking the Truth throughout my life? Why I have always wanted
to know answers to the eternal questions of life:

Who am I?
Why am I here?
What's my meaning and purpose (if any)?
What's the meaning and purpose of the Universe (if any)?

I know that I have always been interested in philosophy, but this
incessant drive makes me believe there is more to it than simply
an intellectual interest.

I always return to what I now know to be a key turning point in life,
and that is when I first came across the idea of death, as a child.

I am not sure how old I was? But I guess sometime between 4 and 6
years old? Probably, at school, I was told for the very first time in my
life that one day we all die. There is death. This was my first encounter
with the idea of death.

It's interesting, because this has to be a universal encounter for all
humanity. All of us, at some early childhood stage must learn the idea
of death. It must affect us all. One minute we are in blissful
ignorance in life, and the next, we start thinking of the idea of death.

Of course, I appreciate that some people will have a different view
about beyond death, depending on their religious or non-religious
beliefs,

Before this, you might say, I was in blissful ignorance. And because
I had not heard of death, I naturally acted in a more blissful way.

In my case, I was brought up in a Christian family and I was told
about Heaven and Hell, and at death, I would be judged.

Also, for the first time, I had to think about the notion of infinity.
Because I asked myself 'How long are we dead?' and the answer
came back 'forever and forever and forever and forever and ....'.

When I first thought about death and infinity, I vividly recall
how I immediately sat up in bed and said 'There is no death,
this is wrong. I want to be like Jesus Christ and live forever!
Later, I modified this thinking to 'we will find a cure for death
in my lifetime and we will all live forever'.

Later, I learned that 'the fear of death' is one of the primary
root causes for much of our actions and behaviours, even though
it might appear as something quite different, at the time,
throughout our lives. I learned that many people start to become
more religious as they get older and think more about mortality
and death, probably based on an increasing fear of death.
For most of us, as children and young adults, death is
a long way away and not an immediate concern.

This idea of death, if it is wrong, has much to answer for.

So maybe my prime motivator to seek the key answers to the key
questions in life, comes from the first encounter with the idea of
death.

But because I had problems with the stories my Christian Church
wanted me to believe, about sinning and judgement and Heaven
and Hell, I looked elsewhere. Not realising, at the time, that
Mystical Christianity had some good teachings and answers
about life and death and that we can all have a direct experience
with God, as opposed to just through organised religions.

Now here comes the paradox!

At the age of around 30 years, I discovered Eastern Philosophies
and Religions that teach eternal life, and only death of the body.
Some talk about discarding the body, as an old coat, and putting
on a new one and reincarnation of the spirit. Some talk about
the soul continually coming back until it is fully realized and /or
enlightened, and does not need to come back to learn anymore.

What is fascinating is that the Christian based notion of death
tends to instill a fear of dying, and many of the Eastern based
notions of death tend to instill a fear of coming back with a new
life, and more suffering. So one can fear both dying and coming
back to life depending on your beliefs formed from childhood.

So we are all battling with the notion of death.

But my point of writing this piece is to say that it is my belief
that our biggest mistake is not how we interpret death for
the first time, as children, even though this may well even prove
to be one of the most traumatic experiences in our lives, but
the even bigger mistake is to believe that we are seperate
beings with seperate lives !!

If we accept that we are, in reality, in Truth, One humanity
that is all connected at a higher level, we can accept that
humanity is one large moving Ocean of life, and that the
'individual' is just a temporary material manifestation
from the Ocean of life that grows and subsides back into
that same living Ocean of ongoing life.

Then there is no death. The death of the individual is a
mistaken notion based on incomplete knowledge.

Here is the next paradox - it is not until there is death of the idea
of the seperate individual that we can truly see death for what
it is (not) !

So I don't think that I became a seeker of the Truth
through just a fear of death necessarily. I think my intuition,
or inner wisdom that we all have, told me that the idea
of death I was taught is fundamentally wrong.

I maintain that we all intuitively know the Truth when we hear it!

And, intuitively, I believe we all know that the idea of One Ocean
of Life that keeps manifesting 'life waves' and subsiding and
manifesting 'new life waves' is right.

At least, it feels natural and right to me!

I can resonate with the reality of no seperate self and
that we are All One and, whilst we appear to be seperate
waves that have the One in us All, we are really the
One, continually expressing itself in billions of different
beings and ways.
